Why "done" often triumphs over "perfect"

Hey marketers!

Happy Wednesday, I’m drinking a fresh brew (iced of course) reflecting on a challenge I’ve faced throughout my career, and I bet it’s something you’ve faced as well.

The battle between perfection and production.

It’s the same trap that prevented me from starting The Lonely Marketer sooner.

I wanted a few more years under my belt before sharing knowledge/experience.

I wanted to build a bigger audience.

I wanted to be a better writer.

I wanted it to be … perfect.

What I thought were good reasons to wait were actually excuses that led to procrastination - ultimately stunting the potential growth.

I also wanted to be excellent - something that can often be confused with perfect. But excellent and perfect are not the same thing.

Let’s jump in and talk about the pitfalls of perfectionism, a perspective shift, and some real world examples of when production wasn’t hindered by perfectionism.
